16x dvd-r and 8x digital movie disc ? i know there is speed difference
i'm getting ready to purchase some new disc and are not sure which way to go

What brand are you looking at?

8x vs 16x theres no quality difference . Taiyo Yuden and or Verbatim are the brands to go with

also if your going with the 16x media make sure you drive has the latest firmware update to support the 16x speed media
