I bought CloneCD, Clone DVD and AnyDVD several years ago. When I bought them, I thought that I read that I'd have to pay update fees for AnyDVD every year. I haven't had to do that. Did I read the policy wrong, did the policy change or did I just slip through the cracks unnoticed?

I have no problem with paying for things properly, especially for such a great product. I'm just slightly confused about this one small subject.

Once you buy you should be in for life...all you have to do is keep your registration key that Slysoft emails you to keep your software active.

I like that, IN For Life, in this instance, not the other way.

This is still the case but Slysoft has not enforced this policy. I believe you will get your updates as usual unless a big change is introduced where a small upgrade fee might be imposed, but that is just speculation on my part.:clap:

Yes, if you have the current gen AnyDVD, you pay once for the program and you get updates for free. When AnyDVD-HD comes out, if you want that, you have to pay for it. For existing AnyDVD customers, James has said on the CDFreaks board that there will be some kind of upgrade path or discount for people like us.

Hope this helps.

Thanks SlyFox 1. It's nice to know that my memory actually works as advertised.

This is from the Slysoft purchase page:

When you purchase one of our products you will receive the following:

* A registration key that prevents the trial version from expiring after 21 days.
* Technical support for one year
* Free lifetime updates

http://www.slysoft.com/en/purchase.html

I would assume that would include all current products on that page. Maybe it's the Technical support part you remember.

Yes that is for all Slysofts products on their download page, please read the EULA and it is very simple to understand.
