dvd dl problem

Hi,

I hope that there is someone who can help me.

I have movies that i have downloaded from several newsgroups that are over
6Gb big. So i can burn them on DL dvd's. That's no problem.
The problem is that i always check the movies that i downloaded with a
software tool, for knowing if the movie is in actually 2 layers.
The last one is a 1 layer of 6,5 Gb. Burning is no problem. But my dvd-player
"PIONEER" freezes the image after 50 minutes when the dvd should change of
layer. But the downloaded movie is only in 1 layer. So my question is, can
convert a 1 layer disc in a 2 layer disc?
Can someone help me?

My guess as to why nobody has responded yet, after 3 1/2 hours, is that members are trying to figure out if your downloads are legit or illegal.

I will tell you this: a single layer DVD only holds 4.38GB of data at most and many keep the data amount burned to a safe 4.33GB. So it is impossible to encounter such asThe last one is a 1 layer of 6,5 Gb
