I have HL-DT-ST BD-REGGW-H20L YL03 0003190811834G1138 (blu-ray writer)

When reading any kind of disc, wheather cd, DVD, HD-dvd or blu-ray. The drive suddenly stops reading disc and it happens randomly. I also tried with Anydvdhd and without Anydvdhd and no it doesn't solve mine problem. It only happens with commercial pressed disc. So far I have notice this behavior with power dvd 8 and Explorer copy process.

here is mine filter load order for drive

I am using windows vista ultimate 32 bit and drive is connected via U.S.B interface.

I haven't tried with powerdvd which came with drive, do you want me to try that.

Very possible the drive or the electronics in the external enclosure are failing. If it's still under warranty.......... contact the seller or the manufacturer.
I prefer internal drives in an external enclosure for reliability and cost efficiency.

After countless fight I finally think it is windows vista 32 bit problem ( this problem was not there in xp. With regard to support of USB and drive. Should I try 64 bit version of vista. It's only specific to blu-ray. Also when i rip mine speed does not rise above 1.3x MAx, Although LG state it is design for 4.8x

To add to the problem I can't install any version of powerdvd 7 ultra, even though you can have powerdvd ultra 7 and 8 together. Given that they aren't upgrade version. Me on the equation i can't install powerdvd 7. Where on xp I can.

I was just thinking for troubleshoot purpose can I copy rental movie to harddrive to verify it's works and then delete the whole image file. Write know I have jumper movie, everything start smoothly, but as soon menu is about to come it just freeze and hard reboot is required. So I was thinking trying with virtual drive and see if it solve the problem and help me narrow down the real problem.

Same thing happen with another movie, only difference is I have bought this one and it's doesn't play at all in powerdvd.

Although both play fine in PS3. I believe it's powerdvd, since anydvd is out of equation it can't create problem.
