Hello there,

This is my first post so Hello everybody, right, I bought a LG GGW-H20L writer ages ago and have been messing about with the disk I got with it with some great results and no burning problems. However I recently bought some Imation BD-RE disks, my problem is that Imgburn sees the disk as a bd-re and its empty but needs formating, but I cannot format it, Nero 8 also cannot write to it, I have the latest firmware for the drive and the latest nero and imgburn but still cannot format it, even windows vista 64 cannot format it, any ideas people please, I do not want to buy any more disks if this drive doesnt want to use them. Thanks guys.

Theres a thread on the imgburn support forum that could be related, you might want to check it out

Use DVD Identifier (http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com) to check the media code. In case it is RITEK-BW1-001, you are not alone with this problem, as it is not supported by the current GGW-H20x firmwares.
