Hi,
I have the afore mentioned drive, which has served me well for the last 6 or so months. For the most part, I have no issues using it to rip Blu-ray movies to be placed on my HTPC. However, one particular set of disk are giving me a real headache. I am sure it's not a AnyDVD HD issue, but I'd sure appreciate so help figuring it out.
The disk (actually series) is "planet earth". The 1st disk I ripped with little problems. The 2nd disk I was able to rip the 1 and 3 episodes, but the 2nd episode either couldn't be read or would die part way through the rip. Disk 3 is even worse -- WinXp might not read the disk at all, it It does read I get an array of errors (from errors related to udf, to disk not in drive (reported by AnyDVD HD), to crashing explorer). One of the more prevalent messages is "can not copy ****. The parameter is incorrect" which is a windows messages
I have returned the disk (multiple times) and am having the same issues.
Any suggestions? I am at wits end....

Ok,
Here my attempt at following those instructions. Again, I don't think it's AnyDVD, since there are times the disk won't even read at all... But, I would love to be proven wrong (as long as I can get this working right). And one other note -- Iron ripped without issue.
Step 1 - create ISO (unsuccessful - produces an iso of 101K)
Step 2 - there isn't a zip file
Step 3 - AnyDVD fails to create a logfile (ie: I followed steps a - e, but I never get a pop up window)
Step 4 -

Follow the steps in the order that they are listed in:
1. Use Anydvd 6.4.7.3 beta: click http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupAnyDVD6473.exe
You may need to reboot after installing if prompted to do so.
2. Click the red fox icon on your toolbar. Click "default". Click "ok".

From CyberLink InstantBurn's packet writing software . . . packet writing software in general is bad news and interferes with a lot of programs including Slysoft's. If you want drag-and-drop functionality, use dvd-ram instead, which is more stable.
3.
i) Create a backup of your registry
ii) Download imgburn. It's a free program: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
(it's also an excellent program in my opinion)
iii) Go to Tools > Filter Driver Load Order. Select "clbstor". Click "Remove Selected Filter". Click "ok".
iv) Reboot
Keep in mind whatever program installed that filter may no longer work properly.
4. Update your drive's firmware (if available): click http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=18731
5. With a disc that can be read properly, create an Anydvd log .zip file, and upload it:
a) Ensure Anydvd is running.
b) Put the an original movie disc in your burner. Wait for Anydvd to scan the disc.
c) Right click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
d) Select "Create Logfile"
e) Wait for Anydvd to create a log file.
f) A pop-up screen will appear. Take note of the location where Anydvd created the logfile and the logfile's name. Click "ok".
g) Go to your My Documents folder
h) You will see a zip file called "Anydvd_Info_titleofmydisc.zip" (or something similar; see step f)
i) When replying or posting in the Slysoft forums, look for the icon that looks like http://forum.slysoft.com/images.slysoft/editor/attach.gif (in other words, look for the paperclip after clicking "quote" or when creating a new thread)
j) If you don't see that paperclip icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
k) A small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't please ensure your browser is enabled to allow pop-ups from the Slysoft forums)
l) Click the "Browse" button, and locate and select the .zip file you created.
m) click "upload"
n) Close the window. When you submit reply, or submit a new thread, the .zip file will be attached automatically for us to take a look at

Thanks Webslinger,
I followed steps 1 - 4, however at step 5 I can no longer read any blu-ray disk. I get "windows can not read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be a format that is not compatible with windows."
I would guess removing that filter also removed UDF 2.5 support (I am guessing...)
BTW: if I didn't mention before... I appreciate the help.

Anydvd doesn't require UDF; Anydvd has it's own solution. But here's a UDF 2.5 driver for XP (yes, XP does need a udf 2.5 driver): http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=15597
Are you sure that clbstor filter was actually removed from your registry? Check to see if clbstor is actually still present by using imgburn.
Also did the problem happen after flashing your drive? If so, it's possible the flash might have wrecked something (I hope not).

1st off, I had update my firmware a couple of days ago -- so It's still good
Yes, clbstor is gone.
I Still can't generate a log file...
However, I was able to copy 2 of the 3 movie files from the Planet Earth disk 3 (I wasn't able to get started on any before)

Okay, so you didn't flash today.

With any Blu-ray disc?

Yeah, but what about other discs?
You do having the Toshiba 2.5 udf driver installed, right?

to disk not in drive (reported by AnyDVD HD), to crashing explorer).
1) Really, the first thing I would do is try another drive
2) Crashes are either caused by driver issues or hardware issues. I've help you eliminate one potential driver issue by making you get rid of clbstor.
a) I would run memtest (4 passes)
b) I would open up my computer case and check for dust in fans: cpu fan, gpu fan . . .
c) I would get my power supply tested

What happens with AnyDVD HD turned off then you insert the disc? Remember to have the disc not in the drive to turn off anydvd hd then unsert the disc does it read it then? Plus what Webslinger asked too what title(s)?

BTW: the error message I get on the one file that won't copy is: "cannot copy 000007; the disk structure is corrupted and unreadable"

VBOX CD-ROM 1.0
This isn't your drive. Don't produce log files with virtual drives.
If your drive can't see the disc with Anydvd disabled (and can't rip files with Anydvd disabled when you have the toshiba udf 2.5 driver installed), then clearly the issue has nothing to do with Anydvd as Charlie is suggesting.
Again,
1) Really, the first thing I would do is try another drive

Ok,
After following the initial instructions -- I was able to backup the 3rd Planet Earth disk... I will keep seeing how things work and report back if the problems resurface.
