I figured out the reason why I could not burn copies of my purchased blue ray movies for my own personal use. It seemed to be Roxio.
I downloaded Nero and used Verbatim BR 25G 4x speed and I was able to burn on the fly with no issues.
The only thing is, the first time it worked, I had a Sony 2x speed 25G BR blank and that took about 1 hour 30 min.
Then with the faster Verbatim BR disk at 4x, it actually took and hour and 37 min. Which was longer! Lol.
Shouldn't it have burned the same disk at about 45 min since it is twice as fast at 4x instead of the 2x I first did?
Is there a way I can check to see why that happened?
I also noticed that the Verbatim 25g BR actually only has about 22.93, and the Sony 25G only had about 22.5G available and not the full 25G.
Are all the disc companies doing that?
For regular SD movies, I tried Memorex DL and the first 4 disks only burned the first half of my film and stopped.
I found out the manufacturer was Ritek and I read on many sites that Memorex maked crap disks. I returned them to Target and got a 10 pack of Sony's that seem fine.
Now I have a 10 pack of Memorex BR 25G 4x and I am worried aobut those. The dealer that sold them said they would not have the same problem but I am worried since Ritek made those as well.
How can that company stay in business?
