Hi all, just wanted to check if it is an issue I only am experiencing or is it a common problem. I output SPDIF to my receiver, and I own a few Blue Ray discs (pirates of the caribbean trilogy etc) that play fine and give me the DD logo on my receiver.
I am not getting that when playing the Indiana Jones and Kingdom of the Cristal Skull title, I am only getting stereo.... I can hear the voices too, so the blue ray is watchable, but audio is sub-par compared to SDVD.
Can anyone confirm that is not only happening to me?

I cannot believe nobody has played this disc in their setup.
No feedback on the audio type? Anyone getting Dolby Digital from their receiver using powerdvd 7.3?

Just because no one has replied within 24hrs doesn't mean no one has tried it, not everyone comes on here everyday or reads through all the posts

i have the same problem with all dolby true hd sound encoded blu rays.
the digital output is only pcm stereo.no downmix
from true hd to dolby digital when using spdif output(ps3 can do so).
i do not know if it is a problem with power dvd or the soundcard etc.
what always works for me in this case is to use the 5.1 analogue outputs of the soundcard.

I see, that is an alternative route. What about the movies that do not play via Powerdvd 7.3 (in my case Iron Man), is there a multichannel option for Windvd?

For some reasons PowerDVD 7.3 does not use the DD-Core/Hidden Track each DD HD Soundtrack should have when going over SPDIF. This is fixed by using PowerDVD8, than there is under SPDIF a DD/DTS Mixing Option giving out either a downmix of DD HD or the hidden Track (i believe it does the former).
WinDVD9 has the same problem, Arcsoft TMT has a DD/DTS Mixing Option like PDVD8.

ReClock can encode LPCM to AC3 in realtime.
