I have anydvd hd. I've been backing up DVD using it and shrink. I'm new to this. How can I back up a blu ray disk. I have a bd drive. Can anydvd hd put it on my hard drive or do I need another program. If so what is a good free program?

I've seen other posts saying they use anydvd hd to rip it to their hard drive. I thought it just removed encryption. Thanks

LOL! I was gonna say, if you can't see where my guides are in my signature, HD isn't gonna do you much good. :D

It started fine but when "There will be blood" gets to 17%. I get an error. Says something like failed to read. I'm starting it again and will post the exact message. Have u heard of this before? Thanks

Used imageburn. Once again got to 17% and failed. "Failed to read sector. Reason: Medium not present."

Bad disc or failing drive (and yes, just because you can play the film it doesn't mean that the disc can't be faulty)

If its a failing drive, what can I do. Is the drive faulty or do I just need to download a patch or firmware update? Thanks again.

You could try updating to the latest firmware, if that makes no difference then I'd try getting the disc replaced and if it does it on the replacement disc or on other discs then it's the drive

About ready to throw in the towel. I tried iron man and it got stuck at 40%.
Cant find any firmware updates for the drive either. Matshita BD-CMB UJ-120 ATA device is the drive. Any other ideas. Thanks

If it does it on multiple discs then it's most likely a faulty drive, get it replaced
