Dear All, great forum, indeed.

I am quite new to this forum and wonder that AnyDVD HD has capabilty to rip HD DVDs and Blu-ray Discs to hard disc but the question is that after ripping how to playback the ripped HD-DVDs and Blu-ray from hard disk.

I belive that there would be previous forum on this topic but there are many here and dificult to search out.

I have WinDVD 9 and PowerDVD 7.3 ultra (with updated patches) both do not play HD-DVD and blu-ray rips from hard disk. I used to have Arcsoft TMT which was very good in playingback HDDVD and bluray rips from hard disk but a few days ago the pop-up windows has started coming asking for ACTIVATION CODE which i dont have so Arcsoft has stopped working.

Can any one advise me how to re-activate Arcsoft TMT that without asking for activation code it should start play or otherwise advise me some other ways tht how can i playback HD-DVD and blu-ray rips from hard disk.

Many thanks indeed.

If you have the latest PDVD 7.3 Ultra then you just make the rips into ISO files, mount them in VCD and then they'll play fine

Thanks, however, please advise me how to make iso files from HD-DVD or blu-ray rips and where to place this iso. Will this ISO remain on Hard Disk and PowerDVD 7.3 shall pick it for playback??

I have on my hard disk a 26G HD-DVD rip for transformer, now tell me what to do so that i can playback this ripped HD-DVD.

Please advise little bit in detail.

Thanks

it's not hard to find. Read the 'Frequently asked questions-READ BEFORE YOU POST' sticky. There are two topics in there on how to make ISO files which you then mount in VCD

Fist of all if you dont wanna help then dont do from the beginning. We are not sitting here to get the basics. If you will not someone else would help. You better not post your comments lazy. Its so simple lazy and you are asking for a new person in the forum to read FAQ.lazy. One can use any software, i used PowerISO to creat an ISO and then install Virtual CloneDVD of slysoft, very good utility and then mount this image to clonedrive and then using WinDVD 9 bluray just play this. PowerDVD 7.3 or PowerDVD 8 they dont play such ISO CloneDrive, at least i my case lazy. Just to tell me this you asked me to go and search out FAQ lazy.

To start with I'm not lazy, I pointed you in the direction of how to do it as you'd not bothered to look for yourself. It's all there if you go and read them. that's why it has a heading of 'READ BEFORE YOU POST!' as all the information you need is already posted and this gets asked about a dozen times a week. PowerDVD 7.3 and 8 will both play ISO's mounted in VCD, I have nearly 200 ISO's and the only one that doesn't seem to work is Sleeping Beauty. Maybe if you used the search function you'd find everything you need (which has been gone over many times before) rather than just expecting everyone to give it to you on a plate.

Also as far as I'm aware, PowerISO doesn't make UDF 2.5 images which is why people use Imgburn which is also free

Actually take the time to look in forums when you post in them. The very topmost post in the High Definition Software forum is a stickied post with the title of Frequently Asked Questions concerning HD-DVDs and Blu-rays (http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=20702) (http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=20702). It always remains at the very top.
You are completely wrong about PowerDVD not playing mounted images. Most people in the forums use PowerDVD7 and PowerDVD8 and do it all the time.
Your problem with mounted image playback might be with your method of creating them. Make sure you use the right UDF. HD-DVD uses UDF 2.6 and BluRay uses UDF 2.5. Most people use ImgBurn to create ISO images from folders on their HDD.
Using the AnyDVD ripper via Rip to Image... is the best method. Simply create the image in the first place without using a two step process.
Don't be so lazy when you are asking for help. People rightfully don't like seeing the same questions asked over and over and don't be amazed at people not caring to help you because of your laziness.

I advise you to drop the attitude. I don't find your use of the word "lazy" to be amusing and you broke the forum rules. Consider yourself warned. I suggest that you read the forum rules. Since you found locating the FAQ so difficult I am going to also assume that you never read the rules.

You broke the very first rule.

Had I noticed your asking for a way to bypass the need for the TMT activation code I would have banned you outright but that's been taken care of. Thread closed.
