Hi guys, been a few weeks away and there s version upgrades a lot! I would like to know which settings to pick for Reclock nowdays. I live in PAL-land but I play 23,976Hz material AND 25,000Hz material both of them. When I pick PAL speeddown options I get constant hickups in the sound. What to do about this?
also:
I tried is to make a custom resolution with Powerstrip of 1920x1080@23,976Hz and 1920x1080@25,000Hz. The 25,000Hz seems no problem for my display device, the new Mitsubishi HC7000 projector, but it looks like it cannot deal with 23,976Hz. The screen gets screwed up than and goes green distortioned. So I made a custom res. of 1920x1080@47,952, but I m experiancing stutter than. What do I do now?
thanks for all input and sorry for my bad English!

You may need to use audio timestretching to speed up 24p material to 50hz. you can also correct the pitch using Reclock so you do not suffer the "chipmunk effect". Many 50hz PAL-land Tvs and projectors cannot handle 48Hz. Even if they accept it, they internally re-rate it to 50hz by crudely duplicating/holding frames leading to video stutter.
How are your speakers connected? If via s/pdif to an amp and you are using speedup or speeddown you must decode audio before sending to Reclock and then use Reclock to re-encode to AC3 or you will get audio drops.

I use Spdif to my AMP. How do I decode the audio before sending it to ReClock?

You enable the option in ReClock config.

I use Spdif to my AMP. How do I decode the audio before sending it to ReClock?Depends on the player you are using. Set the player to 6-speakers, not s/pdif; Or, if your player does not come with an AC3/DTS decoder (like Theatertek without the advanced audio pack), you can output s/pdif and use AC3Filter to decode it. Easier to do the former though, if your player allows it.

thxz for your reply.
I already use the AC3 filter. I m going for a clean install tonight and go to Vista and give it a shot.
