Can i add subtitles ?????

not sure where to post this one but i picked general. here is the question my wife is japanese and im american when i get blu-ray moves and watch them she is always asking me is there any japanese subtitles and 99 % of the time there isnt not sure why japan and us on same region code. i was just wondering if when i rip a blu-ray can i add japanese subtitles to it and then watch it on my computer with those japanese subtitles that i added if i can do that. if i can does anybody know where to go to download subtitle file if there is any place to get them. if anybody could help me with that it would be great

I'm not sure if this is possible while keeping the original BluRay format. Someone else may be able to answer your question. I moved the thread to the High Definition Software thread since the solution if it exists will require software.
