VCD mounts my DVD's, but the virtual drive it mounts them is not a DVD drive, so I can't open some discs. Is there a way to change it from a CD drive to a DVD drive?
thanks

5.4.1.2.

it can launch, but under 'CNCTFD' it shows up as a CD drive, and I can't change it to DVD.

And why would you want to do that?

because the program I'm running only recognizes it as a DVD, not a CD.

Which program is that? What image are you mounting? BTW, "real" DVD drives are often shown as "CD drive".

I'm having the same issue. Anytime I try to mount an .iso of a movie it mounts it to a BD-rom drive (movies are not Blu-ray), and I can't play the movie. The .iso were created with DVD Fab (clone option). If I mount the same .iso on another machine using Daemon Tools, it works fine.
System:
Windows 7 RC Build 7100
VCD 5.4.3.2
How can I force it to mount the .iso as a DVD Drive?

Mine shows as a BDROM drive too, even using the latest beta, but I see no issue with this, the Images still get Read as the correct thing in everything I've tried
