First off, AnyDVD is working fine for me when I rip my Blu Ray movies...but I still have a few questions..
For my usage, im simply looking to rip my Blu Ray movies so I can play them on my apple tv at 1280x720. IM stuck at how im supposed to convert them from the folder structure (or ISO) to my final destination of apple tv. (mp4)
like a previous poster said, what do I do now with my folder (or ISO)?
Ive tried RipBot264, ive tried TsRemux, ive used BDinfo, etc...
Can anybody recommend the simplest way to convert to 1280x720 in .mp4 after ive ripped the Blu Ray disc?
Ripbot actually seemed promising, but it never specifies what resolution when you pick the apple tv profile. Im curious if it does 960x540 or actual 1280x720.

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you but I'm sure someone in the forums must have some experience with this.

Did you try the Apple TV profile in Ripbot? Seems that would be the best way to know if it works and what resolution it uses. I do not have an Apple TV so I have not tried it myself.

Yes, Ripbot is converting to apple tv as i write this. I was suprised at its estimation of 3 hours for the conversion, and thats on a Intel 9650 with 4 gigs of ram, with 8 raptor 150s in raid 50 on a ICP 5085 controller. All 4 cores show 100% usage. I will look at the properties of the .mp4 file when it is done to see what resolution it converted it to and update this thread.

Okay, i have no idea why ripbot defaults to 1280x1024 for the apple tv profile when apple tv has a max of 1280x720, but i had to go into the advanced options and tell it to resize to 1280x720. Ill post my question in the Ripbot forum as well, but new users have to wait 5 days before they can post:(
Im not re converting it to 1280x720, and will let you know how it comes out.

Converted 3 ripped blu ray discs, all converted perfectly, audio in sync, etc.
so, for anyone interested, for apple tv, heres what I came up with.
For standard DVD's, I use my macbook pro, first by ripping with Fast DVD Copy, which makes a ts_folder on the harddrive. Then I go back with Handbrake for the mac (freeware) and convert it to apple tv. After that, I import it into itunes. Works perfect.
For Blu Ray discs, (using a PC) I first rip to folder with AnyDvd HD, then use Ripbot264, using the Apple TV settings, but with one important step..after it loads the .ts file, and you pick Apple Tv , you have to go into the properties and pick RESIZE, then pick 1280x720, that way Itunes can recognize it and it can be copied to your Apple TV. Seems to work perfectly.
Another tip, unrelated, is that for movies you rip for apple tv, they do not have dvd cover art, but you can solve this by going to www.imdb.com and then searching for your movie. When you find it, click the front of the dvd cover, then save on your desktop as a .jpg file. Then in itunes, highlight your movie, then ctrl click , then pick get info, then click the artwork tab. You can then add the .jpg you saved on your desktop and it will embed it in the movie file.

@what2be - I've also been successful using RipBot264 at getting the Blu Ray video down to 720p for my Apple TV. I can't say the same for the audio. Nothing I've tried seems to result in anything but stereo. I can get 5.1 from Handbrake on standard definition DVDs. How did you handle the audio using RipBot264?
