View Full Version : One more problem with ReClock And Vista Media Center (TV Pack 2008) LiveTV

There are some threads about live TV and ReClock but MediaCenter actually use file write and playback video from file (used also for timeshift) so theoretically ReClock should works with it.
But in the reallity with ReClock MediaCenter just show one (or two) frames than video stops and audio works for 2-3 more seconds. In case of pause-play video switches to last frame and stops again. And if I try to press "prev" (shift back) several times I got MediaCenter restart because of DEP error.

I'm using VMC as primary shell on my HTPC for everything - watch movies, redord TV and so on. So I'd like to use it with ReClock, but I need to manually switch ReClock off before using LiveTV.
May be it's no so complex to filter filename for LiveTV in ReClock?

Attached two logs.

ReClock doesn't work with VMC.
But everything is fine exept LiveTV!
If it's possible - just filter LiveTV sources when VMC try to connect ReClock filter and that's all.

No, it is not fine. VMC will re-use loaded filters so you can't really distinguish between live tv and playback.

I see.
Yes, it's real problem. But as I see, from time to time VMC reload filter chain (happed when I tryed to rearrange TV channels - a lot of shitching TV channels, when TV is freezed in two seconds TV windows disappers and reload again with working TV) so may be some way exist to force VMC to reload filters?

Or other possibility - when media or application is not supported just emulate dumb renderer. In that case it's relatibly safe to replace default renderer with ReClock.

Already tried that. VMC still hangs. No idea why. :(

Did you ever try to do so without buffer?
Could you provide any version with such emulation - I can do more expirements.
