format blue ray disks

hope this is the right forum i am new can you please tell me how to format a blue ray disk bd-re i am using cyberlink hi-def suite with update that came with my lg super muiti blue drive my disks are tdk bd-re 25 and 50 gig rewritables but windows vista home says it can not read the disk when inserted in the drive after format thank you for any help

If it's formatted what would you expect to be seeing on it?

it has got data on i want to clear this data

But once it's formatted you shouldn't see anything on it, also check the firmware on the drive to see if there's a newer one
