I'm having problems with Virtual CloneDrive 5.4.1.1 and 5.4.1.3 on Windows XP Pro SP3 64-bit. I can mount and use CD and DVD images properly but HDDVD and BDR images don't seem to be working. I'm using the "Rip to Image..." feature in AnyDVD HD 6.4.9.0 to make unprotected images. I'm trying to play the images in PowerDVD 8.0 (with HDDVD hack). I get a "No disc in drive G:" error. I don't have a UDF reader installed so I can't browse the disc. I tried using the AnyDVD ripper to copy from the clone drive and I got a "Drive G: is not ready" error. I tried using CloneCD to copy from the clone drive and I got no error (it appeared to complete successfully) but only about 1.8GB was actually copied. I've tried Hot Fuzz (UK) and Transformers (UK) on HDDVD and Juno (UK) on BDR all with the same results. I also tried mounting the HDDVDs in Daemon tools and Hot Fuzz worked fine but Transformers displayed a "Web Enabled Update" screen (which is normal) and then produced a black screen.

In fact all three images work fine in Daemon Tools provided I disable my internet connection. I guess that solves my problem but someone might want to look into what's wrong with Virtual CloneDrive.

I am thinking Daemon Tools is the reason you are having issues with CloneDrive. The SPTD driver specifically. Try uninstalling DT and the SPTD driver (DT does not uninstall it even though it installs it). Then try VCD again, might reinstall it as well after removing DT &SPTD.

Not sure if this will work but the SPTD driver is known to cause many issues with SlySoft Products.

Not just with Slysoft products, having the SPTD driver installed can stop certain versions of PDVD from playing back from a mounted image

It only doesn't uninstall SPTD driver as other software may use it too.

I took it off my system a long time ago as the SPTD driver not only causes problems with PDVD, but also causes slow down on ripping Blu-ray discs

Lame excuse. SPTD could have been installed as a shared component with a usage counter, and if the last software using it is uninstalled, it could be uninstalled as well.
