yeah the only reason i assume it is ok is that happens @ the same place every time i would really like something to punch right now

* yep took the drive out and when it was showing errors i did the fanzi elbow to the drives face plate and it seems to work now?!?

He fixed his problem by hitting his drive, it seems

yeah it is working now

it did it for multiable dvd/bd and it made a sound like the drive was searching for the data so i hit it and so far has not had any errors but i will rma this soon

dropping my laptop on the table from a small height also cured my problem for a short time as i was sure it was just a loose cable

ouch remember if the computer in running you have a hdd running at about 5400rpm so if there is enough movment the disk needle could hit the platter and scrape it ruining that small bit but the scrapping will bounce around your disk and inevitably give you a catastrophic failure -> could take weeks
