guys how do you ripp blu-ray dvds to you hard drive with any dvd i just bought the sony BWU 100A today any help would be appreaciated thx

Right click fox icon on your toolbar. Select "rip video HD DVD/Blu-ray to Harddisk"

You can't with Slysoft software, and you would need a Blu-ray burner.

I don't know of any software that can burn a Blu-Ray movie. Use google.

You would need a Blu-ray burner, the latest version of Nero (or something capable of burning BD-R or BD-RE), and BD-R or BD-RE blank media.

i just bought the new sony blu-ray burner today and i have nero i am ripping Casino Royale right now when its done ripping what files do i burn using nero i see alot of files in the folder that i am ripping Casino Royale to thx

I've never tried this:

"Burn your backup files to a BD-R or BD-RE disc! Create a directory on your Harddrive named “BDMV”. Copy all of the files out of the original BDMV directory on the BD-ROM Disc except for the “stream” directory. Afterwards create a new subdirectory inside of the BDMV directory on your harddrive and name it “stream”. Place your decrypted M2TS files inside of this new stream directory. Burn your entire, newly completed “BDMV” directory to a blank BD-R or BD-RE disc using the newest version of Nero or any other software capable of burning Blu-ray Recordable media. You should then be able to playback the disc using a Blu-ray Software player such as WinDVD Blu-ray edition. Reports on Doom9 also indicate that the PS3 won’t be able to playback BD-R movies with a “BDMV” structure yet."

If you burn the ripped Blu-ray on a BD /BR-R with Nero don't forget to use UDF 2.5 in the burning settings... then it will work perfectly in a standalone player (e.g. Panasonic...)...

Did that and tested the disc on PS3 and Panasonic, didn't work in either one.

How did you exactly burn the BD/R or /RE? The BDMV is in the root directory of the BD/R /RE..?
You have made new Title in Nero using Blur-ray-Disk (UDF), then in the UDF tab choose manual settings and File System Version: UDF 2.5 not 1.02. Burn it and its working in the Panasonic.

That is exactly what I did, and it did not work.

DVDit Pro HD starts the writing process, but stops in a second with an error message "Unexpected device sense code: %0 -27240"

The drive's a Panasonic LF-MB121 with Philips BD-RE 2x media.

Managed to get DVDit to burn; had to install a new PX Engine and ASPI 4.70 first. For some reason the disc got burned at 1x, and therefore took a looooooong time to finish. Happily enough it was worth it: the disc plays fine in Panasonic BD10, and PDVD 7.3 plays it also like a regular Blu-ray disc.
