I'm not very tech savey when it comes to resoultion. Which resolution is better? The iPod Touch at 480X270 or the iPod Video (5th Gen) 640x360?

If indeed the 640X360 is better would it be a bad idea to create at iPod video file at 640X360 and then play it on my iPod touch?

Why isn't the resolution on the touch better if the screen is bigger?

As a practical matter download the trailer for "Get Smart" from iTunes and you can see that the iPod can handle much higher resolutions then those listed in the spec.
That has the resolution of 853 x 454.

853x454? jeez, would it have killed Apple to add a few more vertical pixels and given the thing a 16x9 aspect ratio?

I'm still confused...

Is the 640 X 480 resolution for the iPod Touch or the iPod Video?

My question again is Which resolution is better? The iPod Touch at 480X270 or the iPod Video (5th Gen) 640x360?

Therefore, when I transfer a DVD to my iPod should I transfer to the iPod Touch or to my iPod Video for the best possible resolution?

Why isn't the resolution on the iPod Touch better if the screen is bigger than on the iPod Video?

According to Apple's site, the maximum resolution the iPod Touch will accept is 640x480 (or 640x360 for anamorphic material). The specs say the screen's resolution is 480x320, a 1.5:1 aspect ratio; which doesn't make a lot of sense. I assume the Touch is designed to scale 4x3 and 16x9 material appropriately, though.
