Apple is launcing a device that will play movie purchased via iTunes through your tv. Anyone know of what format movies are saved by iTunes and can I copy my dvd movies and save them to the iTunes library to use with the Apple Tv device when it is available

I purchased the entire second season of Strangers with Candy via I-Tunes. They play perfect on my son's video I-Pod but skip, freeze and sputter when played on the computer. I'm hard pressed to find a reason to purchase yet another object to play programs on my TV.
