if I rip my BD and HD-DVD movies to my HDD will PowerDVD allow SPDIF output in Vista Ultimate 32bit?
as it is at the moment it won't allow it due to DRM (I think), but it's fine in XP!
(I'm asking before I buy btw)

I had this exact problem with Vista 32 and Power 7.3 on an Intel board with Sigmatel drivers. Turned out that the Latest driver from Intel released in February fixed it. If you have this same setup you might try a sound driver upgrade. (Problem was NOT there with Power 7.1 only appeared after upgrade)
