Maybe it has it's own decrypter?

It does have its own decrypter but it isn't updated as often as ANY DVD; otherwise I heard it's great ripping software. I heard older Fab was compatible... I'll ask fenatago software about latest Fab Gold

Using CloneDVD and AnyDVD is simply the best way to backup a DVD. Invest in CloneDVD.

I tried 1 yr. ago but ddn't like the interface. Has that been improved? Can you split long DVD's into 2 DVD5's at full Quality? Do you know if it has good compression engine? Thanks

Yes. It lets you split a DVD 9 into 2 DVD 5s.

So it lets you split a title onto 2 DVD5's so you can copy it w/out any compression ie dual layer stuff in 6-8 GB range?

Yes but with version 3 of Fab Platnium you have uncheck " Look for 3d party decrypters" in the options. It will work fine with AnyDVD in the background.
