Hi to everyone...it's my very first time in this forum so first off I'd like to introduce myself to all of you! :)
My name is Stefano and I'm a Slyoft fan
My brother just bought me as a present AnyDVD HD v6.5.4.9 Final.
What I don't know is:
Why I can't get the update for the latest 6.5.5.4 beta trough its automatic update feature?
I mean, I can see my firewall asks for the little foxy to go outside but even if I leave it go my version doesn't change...why?
May be I should wait for the version to became stable or what?
Thank and bye,
Stefano.

Betas aren't offered through update system. Only final versions.

Hi Blazkowicz and thanks for your reply.
I see now...
Just one more thing, have you never tried to rip STAR WARS THE CLONE WARS?
I found it pretty difficult because it's have lots of protections...but at end, with the help of AnyDVD, I did it.
But I feel always insecure that it has been properly ripped...what do you guess to me?
Thanks,
Stefano

It depends on which format, for DVD when it is ripped, there shouldn't be a problem.
For bluray it is always ripping fine (when disk is ok), just watching can be the problem.

it is a DVD...so in my case if the ripping process finish with "All Done!" I'll safe. will I?
Welcome to Slysoft forum. To answer your question if it doesn't report read error then it ripped fine.

Not everyone wishes to use beta releases so so there isn't notification about them either within the program or via email. The betas are only posted in the forums and I believe this is the correct method of doing things. People should come and read the forums and they can download the betas. While Slysoft releases very stable beta releases feedback is necessary for the betas to see if problems are resolved and or new problems crop up.
With all the above stated, with the new change that makes trial users unable to use beta versions of the software there is even less of a reason to have people notified of new beta releases.

Hi DrinkLyeAndDie thanks for your reply,
I do agree with you, only stable releases have to be notified via automatic update.
Bye,
Stefano :disagree:
