I purchased the anydvd and clonedvd. Then I open the email
with the license key and run it. I get a message that
C:usersMonicaFloresDesktopkey.anydvd ok! Please restart
Anydvd. I restart it and then restart my PC and when i
click on it it still tells me that the trial period has
expired. i can't get it started and the same with CloneDVD.
I also saved the keys to my desktop hit the windows button and browsed to slysoft->register anydvd and then hit the license key. Restart my pc and still getting error message that trial period has ended.

Try this:
1. Exit out of all Slysoft programs and reinstall
a) Keep your license key file backed up safely
b) Uninstall Anydvd (start-->all programs-->Slysoft--->Anydvd-->Uninstall)
c) Reboot
d) Download Anydvd http://static.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD.exe
e) Exit all Slysoft programs (including Anydvd, Clonedvd2, Clonecd, Clonecdtray, Clonedvdmobile, etc.). Check Windows Task Manager if you have to.
f) At this point disable your antivirus and firewall programs
g) Reinstall
h) Reboot
i) Install your license key (if required) http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=732
j) At this point enable your antivirus and firewall programs

If you followed the steps I posted, including disabling antivirus and your firewall, then you probably need to contact Slysoft:

If your key is blacklisted, there's not much anyone can do about it. You'd have to contact Slysoft.
What operating system are you running, by the way?

Oh, I'm not familiar with Vista. You may need to log in as an administrator in Vista as well. I'm not sure.
Or try disabling User Account Control, and then install the license key.

I disabled the User Account Control and it worked. But now it will only work with this disabled. Is it dangerous to my laptop to keep it disabled? Do you know why it won't work if it enabled again

I don't really know how UAC works. I think you need to tell UAC that Anydvd is a safe program or something (or let UAC know that it should trust Anydvd). I'm sorry; I am not familiar with Vista.
UAC should probably be running, but you definitely need to ensure it's playing nice with Slysoft programs.

Hi :)
Welcome monica_f4.
The easiest way to approach this is to download AdvancedWindowsCarePersonal: (http://www.iobit.com/AdvancedWindowsCarePersonal/download.htm)
Run this program to cleanup/repair registry + other things too. See attached.
UAC should be left running ideally, although one or two users have disabled this feature for the long term.
Back to running the program. Don't be concerned to see higher figures than the attached show. I run this program almost daily.
Having run the program or 'Scan' if you like. You can just click on 'Repair'. It's free & does it all for you.
Before closing program click on 'Show details ' for Startup. Make sure the programs you want to run (like AnyDVD have their boxes checked).
This hopefully will be a 'One click' solution for you.
BTW if you haven't already re-enable UAC. Just to be safe.
N.B. AdvancedWindowsCarePersonal info: (http://www.iobit.com/AdvancedWindowsCarePersonal/index.html)
1st: Check for updates.

Zebadee...I am also a Vista user. I tried what you recommended to Monica f4. Ran the Advanced Windows Care. it fixed a lot of things but when I click the downloaded registration keys, it still gives me the same message:
Registration of
C;\Users\Daniel\Desktop\Key.AnyDVD
ok! Please restart Any DVD!
It does the same things with the Clone DVD2 liscence key.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

That's normal. Did you restart the programs?

...off the subject, I've downloaded and tried Advanced Windows Care. I didn't have any problems (knock on wood), I just wanted to try it. It found far more registry errors than Registry Mechanic did, among other things.
This is some fantastic software, and I would recommend to all.
Thanks Zebadee!

i tried all of this from start till end.....
the proggie mentioned too - and by the way, it looks fine, i´ll keep it !
No, only disabling User Account Control did the job, and made my proggie register in my name !
And not only this applet, also Folder Lock, was only trouble, it was solved too..
Both applets are unlocked the same way - install and afterwood run the reg.key....
Been working with this problem in about 7 houers...Hmmmmm, guess i´ll keep the account disabled no matter what :agree:

The problem with VISTA comes from the fact that even though you are logged on as an administrator, the programs you execute are not executed with admin permissions. You can right click on your AnyDVD, or CloneDVD icon, and pick run as administer and they will run. To make them always start as admin, follow these steps I just found on internet...
Just pulled this off the web, someone having similar problems with photoshop. Good clue to what you might need to do..
If you want Photoshop CS2 to allows run as Administrator every time you run it in Windows Vista, simply goto the start menu, find Photoshop CS2, right click on it, select “Properties”, then click on the compatibility tab and then under “Privilege Level” click the checkbox that says “Run this program as Administrator.” Now Vista will run CS2 as Administrator each time you start it. If UAC is active, you’ll need to allow the program to run at the elevated level. All set!
