playing avis in media player it starts up but when i play a WMV it doesnt.

how can i tell it to start with all filetypes and all programs?

if i rename the wmv to av it starts but then dissapears after media player adjusts it to a wmv.

You can't, if WMP doesn't use DShow, and it doesn't for WMVs, at least not for copy protected (DRMed) ones.

Use Zoom Player.

Zoom Player can play DRM protected WMV discs.

they havent got drm
so use any non-m$ player and Reclock will load fine...MPC, KMPlayer, etc

will hafta give that a go. i wanted to play them thru media center so i could set them up through my movies but i'll try MPC. thanks all

i tried MPC and reclock does start up but there still seems to be motion judder.

file is 23.976, my tv is only 60hz max

i guess i'll just have to play around with different settings till i find the best one.
