On a totally different topic, does anyone know where to source an HDMI/Component converter that does HDMI (in) @ 720P to Component (out) 720P?:doh:

Probably help to know which country you're in, but they do sell them on Ebay

A bit off topic but just a suggestion, stick with 1080P, its the future not 720P. Get a HDTV that is capable of 1080P over HDMI AND 1080P over component, there are a few HDTV that are capable of 1080P over component. Get HDTV that has multi HDMI inputs and multi component inputs, so converters won't be necessary.

I know 1080P cost more than 720P, but look at the future is 1080P and maybe even higher.

Regardless of 1080p/720p, such a device for converting HDMI to component most probably won't be HDCP compliant.
