There seem to be some indications of HDCP support in the specs for the dv4's they are currently selling. If yours is older, that may not apply. Is there official support for BluRay on your hardware?
Most of the player developers offer free system evaluators that will check for everything they can to insure that the system is compatible with bluray playback. Cyberlink's Blu-Ray Disc Advisor is one example.
The good news is that AnyDVD HD makes HDCP irrelevant unless you are debugging a problem. So even if your system is not HDCP compliant (or your display is not) you can still play discs when AnyDVD HD is active.
