I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but I thought I'd check. Is it possible to change the options on AnyDVD through Media Center (IE using the remote control)? I ask this because recently I have come across a couple of movies (mainly disney) where having it set to 'Jump to Main Menu' doesn't work right. In order to watch the movie, I end up having to log in remotely to my HTPC, change the setting in AnyDVD, then close the connection and restart media center.

If not, any chance of a feature like this appearing? It would be great to be able to change the settings on the fly when necessary.

Thanks.

there is no such option no, AnyDVD works in the background and can only be controlled directly from the application itself. About the "jump to main menu", when you activated that option in the panel you were warned that it may result in discs not behaving properly or even rendering them inoperable completely. The best way to ensure quality backups is to disable that option.

Enable "Show dialog to set Video DVD settings for each individual drive".

Umm, yeah, I know. I wasn't complaining, just asking if there was an easier way to change the options in the cases where it was a problem.

Well, that would defeat a large part of what I like about AnyDVD. So many movies these days force you to watch so many previews and such, it's just awful. For instance, Final Destination (the newest one) had almost 15 minutes of previews, including for a bunch of straight to DVD comic book cartoons and some video games, and you couldn't skip past it.

I always check when I make a backup to see if it is working properly, just was wondering if there was a better way when I'm just watching a disc that I'm not ripping.

What exactly does that do? Is that by drive or by disc, and would I be able to use the remote in that case to select the option?

Try it. I never used the remote, but I guess it would work.
