Downloading Shows From DirectTV Tivo to Computer

Does anyone know how to take shows stored on a Direct TV Tivo box and put them on your computer??? Then I want to put them on DVD as back-ups to my favorite shows. Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

You'll need a video card that is in the PC to connect to the DVR box then after that I not sure. I have been trying to figure this out too.

I have Tivo and I have a DVD/VCR recorder hooked in line with it so I can record the playback from the Tivo to VHS or DVD. You can also put a TV card in the computer an store it there and then burn it to DVD but I like my way, it's faster. I do use the TV card/computer combination from time to time.
