License key problems with Vista 32
If you have updated Vista with the last security update this week and Any-DVD and Clone-DVD quits working and starts telling, (you need to buy the key). I think the new security Patch duos something with UAC and compatibility. All my Sly-Soft programs ran ok before this update. Please if anyone out there has had this happen, let me know what you did! I would like Vista running Sly-Soft like before the update. After fiddling around with system restore and reinstalling the programs and no fix, I came to the forum and read the post. (Sly-Soft and Vista) Thank you Bill!

The problem with VISTA comes from the fact that even though you are logged on as an administrator, the programs you execute are not executed with admin permissions. You can right click on your Any DVD, or Clone DVD icon, and pick run as administer and they will run. To make them always start as admin, follow these steps I just found on internet...
Just pulled this off the web, someone having similar problems with Photoshop. Good clue to what you might need to do..
If you want Photoshop CS2 to allows run as Administrator every time you run it in Windows Vista, simply goto the start menu, find Photoshop CS2, right click on it, select “Properties”, then click on the compatibility tab and then under “Privilege Level” click the checkbox that says “Run this program as Administrator.” Now Vista will run CS2 as Administrator each time you start it. If UAC is active, you’ll need to allow the program to run at the elevated level. All set!

By fallowing Bill’s post, I solved my key problem and all my Sly-Soft software runs ok now. The only thing that is hard to deal with is the auto start with Any-DVD. Every time you start the computer you will get a flag asking for permission to auto start witch never happen before update. I just turn off auto start in the Any-DVD setting and when I use it I just click on the Icon on the desk top. If anyone has a better fix for this problem please post it. It seems that Vista doesn’t play well with Sly-Soft after the security update, and is a shame to handicap a great program that the people at sly-Soft have created.
I apologies for my English.
