I installed Clone cd & virtual clone drive onto my win 2k desktop so I could play Halo without getting me disc out. All works fine. But when I try to do so on my lap to running win xp it will not work. In the system tray I get a difernt ICON but it still hase the Hide CDR Media option. Problem is it does not do anything. WhenI run Halo it still asks for the original CD.

ANy ideas?

If you can't get CloneCD's "Hide CDR Media" option to work on your laptop you could try "Alcohol 52% Free Edition" (very good), it installs a toolbar in to your browser but it can be disabled easily.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the Idea. Unfortunetly it does not work either. It does the same thing....File will mount OK. Hide CDR or disc emulation is active but it still asks for the original disc. When I loaded them onto my win2k cpu it workd fine.

Is there some issue within xp?
