View Full Version : Drive not listed in AnyDVD

This is a little interesting problem. I am running AnyDVD in a VM on an ESXi 4.1 host. The host device DVD-ROM is presented to the OS and AnyDVD successfully and works fine. However, I have an external USB DVD-drive/carousel connected to the host via USB (and subsequently used DirectPath to forward the USB controller to this VM). This device is presented fine to Windows (7 x64), I can use the carousel software, and I can view the drive in ImgBurn, and HandBrake (I don't have any other ripping / burning software installed) and in the OS / Windows Media Player, etc. I have uninstalled /rebooted / reinstalled / rebooted AnyDVD, I've verified I don't have any DeviceFilters in conflict - it just won't show up in AnyDVD!

Help appreciated!

Edit: I also have UAC disabled...

I have a faint memory that you need to enable "Agressive I/O" here in the AnyDVD settings.

Thanks - but I failed to mention that "Agressive I/O" is already enabled.

No, not "aggressive I/O". The setting you're looking for is called "aggressive scan for drives".
