According to here (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00365280&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en), the slave is the middle position. It doesn't specifically mention that drive, but a question about that drive and a 740b on the HP forum, the OP was sent to there. took a gamble last night and put the jumper on the middle pins my bios tells me it's the slave trying a copy(tsst) and burn (111d) at this moment just wanted to confirm if I got a lucky guess
