When trying to make a desktop shortcut GJ just errors with "List index out of bounds (-1)"

After Clicking "Ok" the Profile Shortcut box opens up. If you click "Create", a Access violation at address XXXXXXXX in module 'GameJakal.exe'. Read of addess XXXXXXXX. Comes up and thats it. So how do you create shortcuts?

I am running Vista 32 bit and UAC is turned off. Other problems include games like CnC 3 will not run even when using the original disk, as long as GJ is running and using RAM the game will not start regardless if your using GJ or not to play the game.

Same here - Windows XP Home

I only discovered this because, after updating, none of my pre-existing desktop shortcuts work anymore (the profiles work from the GJ window).

Error message:

"The requested profile does not exist, you may need to re-create the desktop shortcut for this profile"

Catch 22!

Oh yes, and the links to suport from GJ are an absolute mess! -
Click Help and Support link in GJ
Choose Game Jackal Support Center link (or indeed any other).
Script error!
page is loaded : mk:@MSITStore:C:\Program%20Files\Maplom\GameJackal .chm::/obtaining_help_and_support.htm#
And every link on that page just points to that page.

And the Update Version Info hasn't been, erm, updated! - [Edit] FYI the Update Version link on the GJ window opens "Maplom Update.txt" - the latest update text can actually be found in the same folder, but called "update.txt".

With this level of technical expertise in evidence, I think I may be rolling back to the previous version pretty soon!
