I do not believe that copying Battle: Los Angeles is possible with the latest version of AnyDVD. I am having the same problem everyone else is. It's something I haven't encountered before. Please help.

You need to pick which thread you want help in. Multiple posts about the same issue in different threads (none of which are yours) is confusing to everyone.

Ok, here is the log file. Thanks for any help. I just figured everyone was having the same problem and a new update would be released. Wouldn't let me copy it using the AnyDVD ripper or with CloneDVD 2. Wouldn't work with DVD Shrink either, but a lot of new movies don't. It stops at about 22%. The disc could be bad, but I've put it through some stress tests and it does not appear to skip when playing normally.

Check out SamuriHL's Bad Disc Guide (http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=12460) to see whether it (the disc) is defective or not.

What error are you getting with the AnyDVD ripper? File IO3?
Are you using CloneDVD 2.9.3.0? Does CloneDVD give an error? If so, what?
It won't work with Shrink without ripping the disc to the hard drive first because of the structural protection.

Erm... areallydisturbedfan is talking about a DVD not a Blu-Ray disc. SamuriHL's guide isn't applicable.

Whoops.
Didn't see that part there (and I was like the people that come on here without reading the FAQs)

Just take a step back and consider all the info here about this DVD.
It was "fixed" some time ago
http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=48453&highlight=Angeles&page=2
and this is another one of this mixed bad releases - we fixed a processing issue but some are just simply badly produced.
1. There is NOTHING AnyDVD can do about a defective DVD.
2. Defects like this often come in batches.
3. READ errors are not protections and a production error will indeed fail in the same place. Sorry if this is incomprehensible to you but that doesn't change anything.
4. I suspect your error is FILEIO3 and I think this is mentioned often enough in the threads.
We say it again and again and again: a disc that plays may not necessarily be readable for a copy, read errors are not protections and production errors can render a batch of DVDs unreadable, i.e. Christmas Carol 2010.
