My Sony bdp s-360 seems to be going out, not playing a lot of my Blu-Ray backups lately. Been getting a lot of disc invalid errors, freezes before loading title, etc.
It's been really weird.. Darkest Hour shows invalid yet MI Ghost Protocol loaded fine.
So does anyone recommend a current player or one less than a year old (depending on store stock) that's good? thx

1. No Blu-ray player that cost over $120.
2. No Blu-ray player that contains the cancer Cinavia.
3. No Blu-ray player that automatically connects to the internet for firmware updates.
4. If you can find a Blu-ray player built before February 2012 probably a good choice.
5. Probably a good choice to stay away from Sony.
6. Don't do ANY firmware updates unless you are sure you know what the firmware contains.
:agree:
P.S.
I would verify you are building your Blu-ray backups correctly and your computer is cleaned out BEFORE filing your Sony S360 in the trash can. I would also verify you have a good HDMI cable from your Sony S360 to your HDTV set and all the options are set at 1080P.
Here is a good start for building good back-ups:
AnyDVD HD
Clown BD or BD Rebuilder or BDtoAVCHD
Imgburn

Have you tried to clean the laser lens and what kinda BD media are you using? And how did you burn those backup and which software did you use? All your description seems to indicate bad burns or multitasking and burning which will cause errors to occur that otherwise you won't notice til you played the backup media.
