Game won't work

I have an older game that I can't install and wonder if there's a fix for it. The game is RiskII by Atari, copyrighted in 2003. When I try to do a custom profile I get a 'Loader Error' window pop up which states ' "The procedure entry point GetWindowTextA could not be located in the dynamic link library user32.dll. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I had this on civ4- bts

I got round it by:

1. untick the game jackal finish when application ends.
2. then run application manually
3. when finished with application cose gj manually.
