Slow ripping

Hi

I have bought a new computer with a Samsung SH183L dvd writer. But it rip movies very slow the writer don´t spinning up it only rip for 2-5X speed. I have 2048 in memory and dual core processor and Samsung SataII disc.

What should i do??

Check your drive isn't in PIO mode. Start > Run > devmgmt.msc (this opens device manager) > expand IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers and double click on either "primary IDE channel" or "secondary IDE channel", whichever your burner is connecetd to - and check it's in DMA transfer mode and not PIO.
