What problems are you having? That was an easy movie to do.

Agreed..... that DVD seemed to work with AnyDVD and any old ripper/shrinker/copier.

Using Shrink 3.2. with AnyDD. Gets to 60-70% then reads the following: Cyclic Redundancy Error. It played fine in DVD player.

Playing fine does not mean that the disc is fine.

Try Clonedvd2: http://www.slysoft.com/clonedvd.html
and ensure you're also using the latest version of Anydvd.

If you still get CRC errors you, in all likelyhood, need to either clean or exchange the disc.

Unfortunatly I had a lot of problems with Clone DVD. It constantly told me I had bad media and could not finish burning. I've never had a problem with any other software. I always use the same discs as well: Memorex DVD-R's. Never had a problem. I got the movie from Netflix. It was probably just a bad copy. Thanks for your help.

Stating "Memorex" doesn't give any useful information (other than you might very well be using something I want to avoid).

I don't help people who copy rentals. Others might. I can't.

I thought the DMCA made it illegal to copy movies you own. Why is even that allowed? I guess I need some clarification on this.

"SlySoft is (really physically) based in Antigua, which is a DMCA free zone."

My very personal opinion follows: I do not condone copying rental discs.

I know what Slysoft is doing is legal, I mean what people in the U.S. and even other countries are doing by using the software to decrypt and backup movies. It is supposed to be illegal by the DMCA.

I don't know what they're doing. I am of the opinion that people should back up only what they own, which, by the way, is still legal where I am.

And this will probably be my last post on the subject in this thread.

Point taken. I was asked by a friend to make a copy. Probably better for me that I had difficulties with it. I take THAT as a sign. Thanks for the input.

Where do you live? I also believe people should be able to backup what they own.

I'm kina surprised that the Evil Empire ie Sony... with it's vast resources, hasn't hired a covert, illegal, mercenary strike at the Slysoft physical plant.

I meant this as a joke... but now that I think about it... some big corporations have done worse over the years.

I can only imagine who some of our registered users might be. Eh, "Big Brother?" I'd hate to be the "example" they make when prosecuting someone for piracy. Not at all worth it.
