Backing up Blu-Ray in NEC 6500-A Drive ??

Hello. Just wondering if I can backup Blu-Ray discs using AnyDVD HD in my IBM ThinkPad with NEC 6500-A DVD burner? Do I need special blank discs (I currently use DVD-R's) and/or a Blu-Ray compatible DVD burner? Thanks.

You need to have a Blu-Ray Burner Drive ($500 and up), and blank Blu-Ray discs which are pricey too.
