I'm having a problem playing the image file of Synecdoche, New York on Blu-Ray. The movie plays fine with the actual disc in the drive.
This is from the AnyDVD HD status screen: Summary for drive G: (AnyDVD 6.5.3.2) HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW GGC-H20L 1.03 43091808258BLE0905 Drive (Hardware) Region: 0 (not set!) Media is a Blu-Ray disc. Total size: 19964416 sectors (38993 MBytes) Video Blu-ray label: SYNECDOCHE_NEW_YORK Media is AACS protected! Removed AACS copy protection! Can't determine region code! Blu-ray Java signatures fixed! BD-Live deactivated! Removed UOPs! After I copy the image file to the hard drive, I use Virtual CloneDrive to mount the image. Interestingly, the name (SYNECDOCHE_NEW_YORK) does not appear on the virtual drive from the My Computer view. Nonetheless, when I play the virtual disc from that drive with PowerDVD 9, it loads the Blu-ray disc and starts up with the movie's loading graphic. PowerDVD 9 also pops up with a warning: "This Blu-Ray Disc's digital signature is not recognized or invalid, therefore the BD-J content may be unsafe. Do you want to continue the connection to the BD-Live site? Click 'Yes' to continue the connection. Click 'No' to continue the playback without internet access." Regardless of wheter I press yes or no, the Blu-Ray loading screen appears, it slowly loads, and then it moves on to the next screen, but there is no audio or video; it's just black. The timecode is running though. I've tried skipping ahead to the next chapters but they are all just black. I've attached the log file. Suggestions? |

You have packet writing junk installed on your system.
Quote:
Packet writing software is bad for many of the programs. Including AndDVD. 1. i) Create a backup of your registry: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756 ii) Download imgburn. It's a free program: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download (it's also an excellent program) iii) Go to Tools > Filter Driver Load Order. Select "clbstor.sys". Click "remove selected filter". Click "ok". 2. Reboot, once done create another log file and post it. Keep in mind that the programs that installed those filters may no longer function properly. 3. After restart of computer Click the red fox icon on your toolbar. Click "default". Click "ok".

1. Update Anydvd: http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=28781
2. Click the red fox icon on your toolbar. Click "default". Click "ok"
