Default MakeMKV trouble with PowerDVD workaround

Hi folks,

I had a bit of a heart attack this morning. I have a new installation of W7 and have just about everything sorted on it. But the first time I went into MakeMKV to extract the main title track out of a BD disc (which had been previously ripped to an ISO with AnyDVDHD, and mounted with VCD), MAkeMKV read the disk and then told me it couldn't extract anything; failed.

Eventually I found that by unchecking the "PowerDVD workaround" option it all worked again, and I'm extracting that movie now.

Is this normal expected behavior? I thought on my Vista install, I had that option checked and MakeMKV still worked.

I seem to notice that when mounting an ISO, on Vista AnyDVDHD would notify me that it was scanning the disc upon mounting the iso. That doesn't seem to happen now in W7. Any DVD does show it's status as having protection removed for that drive, so it is working...

Thoughts?

Marc
