As I understand it, there are 6 items that a BDMV folder contains, and all 6 must be present for it to be playable. They are: BACKUP, CLIPINF, PLAYLIST, STREAM, INDEX.BDM, MOVIEOBJ.BDM
I recorded footages from 2 trips, San Francisco and Palm Springs. They are contained in 1 BDMV folder on the memory card in my camcorder. I transferred the whole folder to my computer, Total Media Theater plays it with no problem. I want to make 2 BDMV folders, 1 with San Fran footage and the other with Palm Spring's. SF footage runs from 0001.MTS through 00035.MTS I created a new, blank BDMV folder dedicated to San Francisco footage, and inside I have the following: [1] BACKUP, it's empty [2] CLIPINF, I copied 0001.CPI through 00035.CPI from the original BDMV folder to here [3] PLAYLIST, there's 1 item inside, 00000.MPL. I see it inside PLAYLIST of the original BDMV folder, so I just copied it here [4] INDEX.BDM [5] MOVIEOBJ.BDM [6] STREAM, I copied 0001.MTS through 00035.MTS from the original BDMV folder to here Strangely enough, Total Media Theater now cannot play this BDMV folder. Do you guys have any idea why? Thanks, |

Possibly because the playlist file is referencing the missing files

Might consider using TSMUXER from a variety of camcorder type files such as TS and others to BDMV folder(s)
And see if the BDMV folders will play with software players and/or blank disk burning. You might need software conversion from MTS type files to M2TS type files. From what I have seen there can be a difference in internal content of BDMV folders.

Most Blu-ray writers also come bundled with Cyberlink software, I'm pretty sure one of those bits of software allows you to make BDAV discs, so you could just load in the files you want for that disc and output it as a finished BDAV Blu-ray, in theory it shouldn't even need to do anything with the video files
