There were beta like this before, but slysoft changed to allow trial and know they are back to their original way.

Anyways good to see these kind of beta are back.

I'm sure others are trialing AnyDVD (inc. beta's) 'forever', too

I know it is indeed sad but it is true as well

Why is it good? This means less input and log files from discs that might have problems. Not sure I get it... surely this wasn't done to spite one person?

Less input, sure. Less log files, maybe. However, if users can afford to get disks at that fast a clip or obscure disks that Slysoft has never heard off, i'll guess that they probably already have a slysoft license.

And it's not like trial users will never be able to decrypt new disks. They just have to wait a while unless they purchase a copy. It's sort of like a benefit to paying customers. Is that not fair??

Speaking as a normal user rather than a Moderator, I agree with you PrincipalityFusion. There are other software programs out there that have beta releases that can only be used by registered users so it's not like this is a new concept. This isn't extreme or some form of punishment. Owning a legitimate license has its privileges. Seems pretty simple to me.
