Default Problem with "Secret of Loch Ness II"

I'm attaching a log file, but I'm not sure if it uploaded correctly. Ripping to hard disk only captures the Title 1 set, not the rest (there are 6 titles). The disc plays fine on an ordinary DVD player. VOBblanker only does 40% of reading the VTS and it freezes, and DVDshrink (using reauthor with the feature title) freezes at 84%.

I hope you'll look into this for me. Let me know if you want a source for the disc.

Default Likely not fully readable

With this kind of stuff in the log

18.20s: read sectors failed, sense 3:11:5
25.61s: read sectors failed, sense 3:11:5
33.55s: read sectors failed, sense 3:11:5
41.66s: read sectors failed, sense 3:11:5
49.75s: read sectors failed, sense 3:11:5
57.70s: read sectors failed, sense 3:11:5
71.97s: read sectors failed, sense 3:11:5

33.55s: read error 3196873 to 3196882, max 3366304, io->read_error 0
57.70s: read error 3270726 to 3270727, max 3366304, io->read_error 0

you won't get too far with this one for backing up. I'd be amazed if it plays on a PC. An external player is a brute-force device so nasty errors may not appear as opposed to the DVD drive in your PC.

Additionally, this is an unusual DVD considering no CSS.

Well, that's life, I guess. Thanks for your interest. By the way, it wouldn't play all the way through even in a standalone player. I rather expect that all the the discs of this item would be the same, more or less..right?

Default That depends

School is out on the "bad batch" premise but there are times when taking a disc back for an exchange is successful, other times not. Generally, a bad production pressing run means lots of bad discs.
