iPad2 Video Settings Advice
Sorry if this request is a duplicate from somewhere else in the forum. I searched but didn't see any current information that addressed my question...
We are adding an iPad2 to our house this Christmas and I just completed my first CloneDVD mobile video conversion. The conversion took over 5 hours to complete and the output file is 3GB! (iPad AVC setting, 1024 x 576 resolution, 18 Video Quality, De-interlaced, 2-Pass).
I've used CDM for iPod Touch video in the past with great success. I am looking for current advice on recommended video settings for use on an iPad2 and does my above example sound "normal".
Specifically, should I continue using iPod Touch conversions & settings on the iPad (480x270 Resolution, 18 Vid. Quality, De-interlaced, 2-Pass), OR should I go with iPad AVC settings (specifically which resolution setting - 640 x 360, 800 x 450, or 1024 x 576)???
Also, I haven't had a chance to sync & view my "test" to the iPad since I have to do this discretely so that the kids don't see me with the new toy.
I know that these settings are dependent on a lot of variables, including my own personal preferences. I'm just looking for some advice from others who may have better working knowledge / experience with the iPad & CloneDVD mobile.
Thanks.
