Been using Anydvd for years and will finally make step to burning Blu-Ray. I see the cost of upgrade is nearly equal to software that has built in decryption. What do I get using AnyDVD, BDRE,Clown, Imgburn? Since there are so many AnyDVD HD users, I must be missing something. Why, for example, is the Anydvd system better than, say, DVDFAB? I'm not going to purchase anything until I understand the PRO's/CON's better. Thanks.

Do you have a computer where AnyDVD hasn't been installed yet? If so, you could try both, AnyDVD HD and DVDFab, and decide which system you prefer.

Won't name this vendor, I'm not here to advertise. This is one of many new Blu Ray softwares on market. It's full price is $40. It cost more than that for me to upgrade my current copy of ANYDVD. Here is what they clain:
removal fixes, in real time. Clone/Burn/Decrypt/Copy any Blu-ray Copy Blu-ray to any blank Blu-ray/DVD/AVCHD disc 4 copy modes available: Full Disc, Main Movie, Clone, Write Data |

I don't know any competitor's BR product from my own experience, so I'm afraid I cannot help you with a direct comparison. If you refer to DVDFab as you did in your first post, I get the impression in this forum that AnyDVD HD usually handles new discs within shorter times than DVDFab does. Of course, as I get this impression from reading this SlySoft forum, it might be biased, so I would suggest you to ask in DVDFab's forum (or whatever competitor you have in mind) for a comparison, too.
Another thing I've heard or read about DVDFab is that their lifetime licences become useless for newer discs from time to time when they decide to rename their products or give them a new first digit version number which you might want to consider when you compare lifetime licence prices. I might be wrong in this point, so maybe you should verify this before deciding on which software you buy. |

Bear in mind that a lot of the new ones on the market actually lie and don't decrypt the discs for you, things like blu-cloner etc never work as stated

My 2 cents worth. AnyDVDHD is the only product that works every time and if it doesnt work with a new DVD or BD, it will work within a couple of days. It will save you hundreds of hours of your time and headaches if you go with the best rather than struggeling with anything less than AnyDVDHD!
![]() PS I heard rumours that most of the other competitors that are even close to performing as well as AnyDVDHD are actually ripping off the AnyDVDHD code and keys from Slysoft. So good luck with buying into that agreement. If you don't buy from Slysoft, you could be buying an illegal license for using stolen code. It's easy to tell too, the status windows and log files look almost the same as AnyDVD's. Last edited by Roycal; 29th May 2012 at 02:23. |
