Default WALL-E Still won`t burn successfully

I have read all the post about the WALL-e DVD and I have got the dvd ripped to my harddrive using AnyDVDHD and the size of the file is normal around 7.3 GB. Now the files play fine on the computer but when I go to burn it to DVD DL I get an error, I have went through 15 DVD DL disc trying to copy this dvd, and I finally got it to copy and say it was complete, but it wouldn`t play, so I ran a verification check on the dvd and it said it had a checksum error. I am beginning to think it is the dvds I am using they are PlayO, but manufactured by Ricoh. I have ordered some Philips DL`s to try them. But what I want to know is could the DVDs be my problem, this is my first time buying bulk DL disc, I bought Verbitam labeled before and they did fine, but I print on my disc, so right now Full face printiable disc in Dual Layer are hard to find.

Hi
The answer is simple.
When it comes to DL.
Verbatim are the only players in the market that work consistantly.
PlayO isn't great.
Philips, well I wouldn't have my hopes raised to high.

I moved this program from the AnyDVD HD forum to the AnyDVD forum. AnyDVD has nothing to do with burning so this isn't an AnyDVD issue but it does have to do with an SD DVD. This thread will likely be moved again to a more appropriate forum.

There has been no mention of what software is being used to burn the backup. It's quite possibly the media that is the problem but it also might be a combination of poor media and burning at to high a speed. Regardless, bad media is bad media.

In terms of DL DVDs that you can print on, I used to like the Verbatim DataLife Plus White InkJet Printable discs. They're not the cheapest in the world, however. NewEgg sells cakeboxes of 20 discs for 40.99 USD.

Zebedee, remember what webbie says use only Verbatim made in Singapore not India ones.

Or at the bare minimum this is how I interpreted.

drumman, use only ones that are made in Singapore.

Ya... this is about the burning/media - not the AnyDVD decryption.

I'm so happy, I could cry.

Sometimes, it's almost impossible to find Verbatim+R DL that are made in Singapore anymore. If that's the case for the original poster, then I'd try 8x MAM-A or, indeed, the Verbatim +R DL made in India by Moser Baer. The ones made in Singapore (if you can find them) are less variable in quality, though, so if you can find them, buy them.

Anyway, Zebadee knows what he's talking about.
