MPEG2 Re-Encode

I am currently wanting to use the profile "MPEG2 Re-Encode". I am wanting a backup of my DVD's in the MPEG2 format so will be compatible with using the Xbox360 as a media extender.

But I am having the same issue that everyone else is having with the latest release. Am I going to just have to wait till the problem is solved? Is there a alternate solution? I noticed in the previous version, it didn't have that profile.

Any ETA/Update on their status of it being fixed?

Try making a VOB passthrough then changing the file extension from .VOB to .MPG

That creates viewable files, but obviously it wont let me select the quality/size of the video. Also cant scan through the movie, whenever I try, the movie restarts over.

This just sucks, I got my whole setup, NAS and 10 temp computers ready to backup my collection for my media center but stopped until latest release is fixed.

Sigh...lol
